CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

The Children's Ministry at First Baptist Church Southern Pines includes all children ages birth to 5th grade. We are committed to following the example of Jesus as we welcome children and their families to our church. We make the faith formation of our children a priority. It is our joy to partner with families in laying the foundations of faith and growing young disciples. You will find an atmosphere of grace and love where children are taught to be like Jesus in all areas of their lives. Children are equipped with Bible knowledge, skills, and applications through Bible study, music, and missions education.

  • Sunday Mornings

    Sunday School is provided for all ages beginning at 9:45 on Sunday mornings. During Sunday School, children learn stories from the Bible and how they apply to our lives today. 


    Children of all ages are part of our worshiping congregation and are welcome in the Sanctuary on Sunday mornings. We encourage you to bring your child to worship and to model for them how to use their hearts, hands, and voices to bring praise and glory to God. Children's worship bulletins are provided at each entrance to the Sanctuary for children to use during worship. Each week, Ms. Lauren invites any children in the worship services to join her for a brief Children's Sermon.


    Nursery care is offered for children (birth to 5 years) during the 11:00am worship service.


    Sunday Morning Schedule

    • 8:30am - Worship / Nursery
    • 9:45am - Sunday School
    • 11:00am - Worship / Nursery

  • Wednesday Nights

    Each Wednesday, typically September through May, we offer Music and Missions for children ages 3 years to 5th grade. We also offer nursery care for babies through 2 years to help parents attend a BridgePoints class for adults or teach in one of our programs. 


    Missions: Our children learn the importance of missions throughout the world and how they can be a missionary in their own town, schools, and neighborhood. Each week, children learn about different cultures around the world and the missionaries who serve them, teaching about Jesus.


    Music: Every week, children from all over the community participate in our music program. This is a top-notch music and worship training, plus a great way to make friendships that last a lifetime. From preschool to 5th grade, our children’s music program offers a one-of-a-kind experience for your child to pursue their love of singing and music.
