Other Staff Bios: David Helms, Benny Edwards, Tom Allen,
 John Stone

Katie is a native of Florence, SC where her parents and sister still live.  She graduated with a BA in Music from Columbia College, a women's college, in Columbia, SC and earned her Master of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University in Atlanta, GA.

Katie was ordained into the ministry on September 8, 2002 at Kathwood Baptist Church in Columbia, SC, where she was employed as Minister to families. Having served on the coordinating council for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina, she remains active in CBF life.

Katie also leads classes in depression and eating disorders for youth and women.  Her passion, however, is working with children, which is why she loves her job as Minister to Preschoolers & Children and Director of Sonshine Learning Center.  Katie's first official day on the staff of First Baptist Church Southern Pines was October 13, 2003.

When she's not working, Katie loves to visit her family and dogs Chesley and Lucy.  She also enjoys shopping, reading and a good laugh.

Katie's e-mail address is: kf.roscoe@yahoo.com
