Senior Adult Ministry

Senior adults are an important part of the life of First Baptist Church. It is our goal to give senior adults opportunities to continue to serve God’s church. We offer opportunities to gather for fellowship, participate in activities, make music and enjoy meals together. Here are a few of the opportunities you can be involved in.


Widows and Widowers. This is a small group of older adults to meet for lunch and fellowship.

Monthly ‘Seniors on the Move’ Meal 
*Second Monday every month - Sept – May, 5:00 p.m.
This meal is a potluck and features some of the best cooking you will ever enjoy. Come find out. All are welcome. Bring a dish to pass.

Senior Singers
We sing literature for mature voices (s.a.t.b.) No other voice parts need apply.  :)

Senior Adult Sunday
This annual worship service is led by members of our Senior Adult community.

Spiritual Enrichment Retreats
Annual Caswell Trip – This is our annual trip to the Fr. Caswell retreat center. We generally take around 30 adults on this retreat.

Homebound Ministry
This team of laypeople reach out and minister through visits, cards and letters and phone calls to those whose mobility is limited.
